A local pastor killed in a motor vehicle crash a few months ago was intoxicated.

That's according to Indiana State Police.

In late May.....50-year old Kevin Galloway was traveling in the opposite lanes of

the Indiana Toll Road.

Police say he managed to avoid the first semi coming at him......

But....was struck head on by the second semi.

The crash happened at Gary.

The truck driver was not injured.

Police say Galloway's blood alcohol level was .148-percent.

That's nearly two times the legal limit.

Galloway was pastor at Christ Church.

He was also a former Indiana State Police trooper.....and before that....a La Porte County sheriff's
