There are now two coaches in Indiana with 1,000 career wins in high school baseball.

The first was the late Ken Schreiber from LaPorte.

The other is now Dave Pishkur....from Andrean.

Pishkur says he learned how to build a program from Schreiber....during his coaching

clinics....when Pishkur was just starting out at Andrean.

Creating a culture of loving baseball and winning are among the things he instilled

after learning about it from the Slicers coaching legend.....

His 1,000th win Friday came during a perfect game.

Pishkur is now just 10 wins from equaling the career mark of Schreiber.

With six state titles....he's only won championship from reaching the seven

Schreiber brought home.
