A man is again urging the city to free up more parking in LaPorte's downtown.

Rick Ogle says more county employees are taking up spaces in front of businesses

since work began on the U.S 35 overpass.

County employees lost some of their designated parking beneath the overpass when

that project started a few weeks ago.

Now...he says many of them are parking in spaces needed by businesses on Michigan Ave. and

State St......

He used to own Ogle's Inn across from the courthouse.

He approached the city council again last night........

Ogle says the number of parked vehicles in front of downtown businesses goes up dramatically

when the courthouse and county complex open at 8:30 a.m.
