There's a baseball lovers paradise just a short drive from here.

In Three Oaks.....the biggest little baseball museum opened on Saturday.

It's on the second floor of the public library.

There are baseball mitts from as far back as a century ago on the walls.......

Cubs and White Sox players are also represented in various memorabilia.

The place was packed....and there was no shortage of memories especially from

childhood.

68-year old Charlie McAlvey made the short trip from Harbert....to check out the museum

and thought about playing catch with his dad and playing baseball with his childhood friends.

The museum was put together by Three Oaks native Gary Lange from his own

personal collection.

LaPorte is also represented with things like baseball cards from Slicers players like

Ron Reed who made the big leagues....and a book by the late Charlie Finley once the owner

of the Oakland A's.
