Charges could be filed against a driver for striking a boy at a school cross walk in
LaPorte.
Police say it happened Tuesday at Walker and Monroe streets.
A crossing guard held up a stop sign.....so the 12 year old boy..Dylan Ransom...could cross the
street.
Police say the driver disregarded the hand held stop sign...
Police say it appears the passenger side mirror hit the boy.....whose foot was also
run over.
Paramedics looked over the boy.
He was taken to the hospital by his mother to be further checked out.
Police say 20 year old Brittany Sawyer explained she had just gotten off work and
had a severe migraine and didn't see the crossing guard's stop sign.
Police say she was cited and a warrant is being sought to charge her with reckless driving.
