Police are pursuing charges against a man who allegedly snapped a utility pole
and walked away with his brother badly injured in the vehicle.
The crash happened before noon on New Year's Eve near Blue Chip Casino.
Police say the pole along U.S 12 was dangling from the wires.
The investigation shows the suspect was traveling at high speeds then after
the crash fled on foot.
Police say his brother had a laceration to his head stapled shut and complained
of severe back pain.
Marijuana was found in the vehicle along with a couple of empty beer cans.
Police say the suspect is 51 from the South Haven Michigan area.
His name will be released if charges are filed in the case.
