The new man in charge of job creation in LaPorte County is selling his large car lot
so he can dedicate himself to his new position.
Tony Rodriguez was named director of economic development yesterday by the
LaPorte County Commissioners.
Rodriquez was in charge economic development in Michigan City when he left
more than 10-years ago.
He's been owner of The Auto Mall along U.S 421 ever since.
Rodriguez says he's selling so he can dedicate all of his energies to his new position....
He feels his experience as a business owner will help his efforts to bring more
jobs to LaPorte County...
Rodriquez replaces Mike Seitz.......who was president of the Greater LaPorte Chamber of Commerce
for 15 years before becoming the county's director of economic development
