LaPorte City Police are still investigating more than nine thousand dollars in merchandise being

stolen in a smash and grab burglary.

It happened last Wednesday at an electronics store called iFixUp.

That's on Pine Lake Ave...near Weller Ave.

Police say a front window was shattered and once inside more than 20 cell phones were taken.

The suspect then went to another store that shares the same building.

That business is called You Me and CBD.

Police say hemp oil products were taken.

According to police...the suspect was captured on video and wore what appeared to be a hooded

sweatshirt....and something possibly covering the face.

The stolen cell phones were valued at 75 hundred dollars.

The stolen hemp oil products had a value of about 15 hundred dollars.
